Hello! I am a Data Scientist and Diagnostic Imaging Medical Physicist at United States Cold Storage. In my role as USCold's first Data Scientist, I am working to create machine learning and AI solutions to perennial problems in Cold Storage and Logistics. My goal is to support USCold's mission of helping to keep America fed by making work in our warehouses, transportation, and main office more effortless and more effective.
Before joining USCold, I completed my PhD at Duke University under the direction of Ehsan Samei. My doctoral research was focused on developing novel methods to characterizing image quality in computed tomography. I am also interested in how we use metrics of image quality along with radiation dose to inform and impact clinical practice.
Outside of work I enjoy birding, and built a site using Flask to visualize recent sightings from the eBird database. Try it out on my "Projects" page
